What is the Mathematics Olympiad?

Singapore Mathematical Olympiad -The Olympics Competition while mathematics is the science of logic. In the Mathematics Olympiad, only four fields were discussed, Algebra (A), Geometry (G), Theory of Numbers (N), and Combinatorics (C). Unlike the mathematics taught in schools that focus more on the use of existing formulas.

The mathematics olympiad aims to find champions from each country and region both national and international olympiads.

Singapore Mathematical Olympiad (SMO)?

The Singapore Mathematical Olympiad (SMO) is the largest mathematical olympiad in Singapore. At first, this competition began as an inter-school competition in 1950 called Singapore secondary school competition. In 1980 the name changed to Singapore mathematical olympiad.

In 1995, the Singapore math olympiad was opened for junior, senior and public. Until now, thousands of students from various countries have participated in this Olympics.

The following are examples of Singapore Mathematics Olympiad questions

#1.  How many zeroes does the product of 255, 1254 and 20183 end with?

(A) 5
(B) 9
(C) 10
(D) 12
(E) 13

Answer (E): 

 255 = 510
1254 = 24 x 34 x 58
20183 = 29 x 2513

That each product contains a factor

510 x 58 = 513 x 55
24 x 29 = 213


So which produce 1013. 
 The answer is 13
